Signature Salads
As with everything at Barker's Mill, our salads are made with the freshest ingredients. It is our goal to include locally grown produce from either our farm, our Brentwood location or area farmer's markets.
Fried Chicken Tender Salad - Lightly fried chicken tender strips served on a bed of mixed greens with cherry tomatoes, croutons, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese and topped with Honey-Mustard dressing.
Cobb Salad - Chopped mixed greens with bacon, tomato, blue cheese, egg, avocado and black olives served with balsamic vinaigrette
Grilled Chicken Caesar - A traditional Caesar with grilled chicken breast strips, crisp romaine, freshly grated parmesan, toasted croutons and Caesar dressing.
Black and Bleu – Our take on the traditional Black and Bleu is to marry the flavors of grilled flank steak with the full body of crumbly Gorgonzola. Served on mixed greens with grape tomatoes, sliced sweet red onion, toasted croutons and topped with a basil vinaigrette. Served with either rolls or baguette slices.
Mediterranean Grilled Chicken –Marinated, grilled chicken breast sliced and served over a bed of mixed greens and topped with Feta, Sliced Almonds, Mandarin Oranges and toasted croutons. Served with Balsamic Vinaigrette.
Barker's Mill Club Salad - Ham, turkey, bacon, cheddar cheese and tomato served on a bed of mixed greens. Topped with your favorite dressing.
Italian Pasta Salad – Shell pasta, grape tomatoes, arugula and shaved parmesan in a light olive oil drizzle.
Salad Bar – Mixed greens, spinach and romaine with assorted vegetables, bacon bits, grilled chicken, chicken salad, cheese, croutons and assorted dressings
All salads are served with either freshly baked yeast rolls or slices of french baguettes.
Soups
Chicken Noodle – Chunks of chicken and noodles in a homemade savory chicken broth
Creamy Tomato Bisque – Chunky bits of fresh tomato in a savory cream base
Southwestern Tortilla Chicken - This low-fat and delicious version of tortilla soup can be served as a meal or as an accompaniment to a sandwich or salad.
Black Bean - This stick to your ribs soup is perfect as a meal when served over rice or simply as a soup accompaniment to a sandwich or salad. This recipe has been passed down from generations of cooks at the farm at Barker's Mill, Kentucky.
White Chicken Chili - A delightfully different version of traditional beef chili, our white chicken chili features white beans, diced chicken breast and a bit of garlic to make it slightly spicy. A Barker's Mill favorite as a meal served with cornbread or as a side served with your favorite sandwich.
Tomato Basil - This soup is a vegetarian's delight and features tomatoes, basil, oregano and celery with a tomato base. Just right served with your favorite soup or salad on a crisp fall day.
